Born in Hackensack, New Jersey, DJ A.P. (Allen Joseph Pizza) has been making his mark in the music industry since the early ’90s. As a DJ, producer, remixer, and innovator, he built his reputation from the ground up, long before the age of social media. His journey began with mixtapes and high-energy performances at The Rink in Bergenfield and Skatersworld, two iconic roller skating rinks that shaped New Jersey’s music scene. In 1993, DJ A.P. co-founded the Negative Reflection Crew alongside DJ Just, now globally known as Just Blaze. The fifth installment of the series was rated #1 in The Source Magazine’s “Tales of the Tape”, earning DJ A.P. the status of tastemaker in the industry.
